tFileInputExcel: How to get Sheet name in Event mode

Hi,

that's my first post here and first of all I want to thank all of you in the community, I really learned a lot just reading the different posts...

However, I am having an issue and I wasn't able to find an answer to it yet:

I'm having quite a number of (large) Excel-files in my directory with different sheets in them and I want to store all of the data in my database.

I am using the tFileInputExcel component, with "Read excel2007 file format (xlsx)" and "All sheets" activated in Basic settings and - due to the size of the files - in Generation mode "Less memory consumed for large excel (Event mode)" which is set in the Advanced Settings.

The point is: I also need to store the names of the separate sheets. I thought this would work with the global variable CURRENT_SHEET of the tFileInputExcel component, but I'm only getting null-values.

The global variable is set properly in Generation mode "Memory-consuming (Usermode)", though. However, I cannot use this mode due to the size of my excel files.

Is this a bug or is it just not possible to use this variable in Generation mode "Less memory..."? I did not find any hint in the documentation either.

This issue has already been posted here, but hasn't been answered.

I am using Talend Real-time Big Data Platform 7.1.1.

Thanks

Jochen

Edit:

I tried the same steps with *.xls files and without "Read excel2007 file format(xlsx)" checked. It worked! So I think it is a bug with Excel 2007 files...
