Hi,
I noted it's still not possible changing the dimensions order in the February version.
Is this feature in the roadmap?

I heard from Qlik that we will have the ability to see the new pivot in a PDF as well as the row hover option on the roadmap for this spring!

Also shared these upcoming releases:

  • Dimension limits
  • Measure formatting
  • Text alignment, dimension and measure values and titles
  • Null value styling measures
  • URL links

Hi @Michael_Tarallo
Is there any estimation when dragging of columns to change its order will be supported?
Beside of this feature being a must, it is also usuful to know when it is comming to decide if we can start our new projects with the new pivot (or not), knowing that for time of release of our app that feature will be there.
Thanks
Cristian

It seems like yet another product that's not quite ready for prime time. Yes, there are some new features, but it's lacking basic functionalities that exist in older pivot tables and are essential for end users. And as I see straight tables and other components in the visualization bundle that will remain untouched for many years without any adjustments.

I am not very convinced by the newly released pivot table object. While I appreciate the effort to introduce new features, I believe the absence of crucial functionalities like dimension reorganization and sorting options significantly hinders its usability compared to the previous pivot table.

These features are essential for creating effective analysis. I hope Qlik will prioritize addressing these limitations in future updates. Additionally, I would appreciate it if Qlik could provide more timely communication regarding fixes to this object.

@piyush_gaud

I agree. But the presentatation of this PT is so much better than the original one. But I tend to use the new PT with the Custom table option (that thankfully is now possible with both measures and dimensions). In this way I could have a limited column reordering if required.

And I won't hold my breath waiting for any further improvements. Qliks focus isn't on getting some of the basics completed. To be fair they have done a huge amount in recent year on the basics but I just wish they would focus on completely finishing the basic requirements like this rather than the latest shiny new toy.

When the expand/collapse option will be introduced? I think this is one of the crucial features that is missing in this pivot table.

Many good features but not expand/collabse function anymore. without it is unusable.
-> Expand/Collapse a pivot branch must be implemented.
