Misleading calculation due to unaccurate routing layer

Hi,

We are using the closest method in QGA in order to calculate the distance\time(minutes) between 2 coordinates through the cloest route.

On some points, the output isn't correct, since the route go through a straight line instead going as shown in the map.

Please see the expected red line.

@Patric_Nordstrom

Thanks in advance,

The distance is correct, the returned line is just a low resolution version of the route.

The returned geometry for the route is simplified, to allow for quick rendering and save bandwidth in the response.

The line is not an exact replica of the calculated route which the distance is based on.

Just like the "Routes" operation "Closest" returns a "low resolution route line".
