geoanalytics - closest operator not creating route (pic included)

I am facing this problem where the closest operator is not configuring a relationship ID between my "from" and "to" points. Qlik is not creating an relationship ID for the city El, Paso (green triangle) to one of the airports (yellow square) when inserting the script. Anyone face similar problems before? I've tried increasing my miles (well beyond the two points), imported a standalone spreadsheet to filter just El, Paso, and double checked my model but nothing should be interfering with my City column.

Could that the distance is too far.  A workaround is to use Routes instead of Closest:

Could also be the end point is too far from a road but probably not in this case.

Thanks Patric. Ended up going with routes as you mentioned and changed the parameters to fit my needs in terms of distance. Quite frankly, it looks really nice (aesthetically) even though I've got multiple lines routing from one origin point.
