Expire notification visible after license update

Hi There

My existing license is about to expire.

I have updated new license in TAC and commandline.

After update Notification is still visible in TAC server.

Is License expire notification should not go away?  Please let us know if we are missing any step.

Thanks in Advance for your time.

Hello,

Did you validate your updated your Talend license?

License token update is separate from updating a software license in Talend Administration Center. After you update the license inside of the Talend Administration Center the token is not validated automatically.

On the license page of the Talend Administration Center hit the button labeled, "Validate your license manually" Then put the Validation message into the Validate field on the next page with the link below the Validation Message, when you get the message from that page go back to the validation window in TAC and paste the message then click validate.

For users that do not have internet access from the TAC machine grab the Validation message and then put this into the link on another computer and get the response and put that back into the TAC validation field and click "Validate".

Let us know if it is OK with you.

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi Sabrina

Thanks for response.

Yes, After uploading new license file in TAC, License is manually validated.

For validation steps followed as mention by you. ( For validation, Refer talend manage license documentation.)

Hi Sabrina

Yes it is, Now I am not sure which license is used.

What will happen if old license expire. Does it impact my existing jobs. License is successfully implemented.

These are the queries  I have.

Hello,

What's your use case? Are you running your scheduled jobs in TAC? Regarding license expiration, TAC service will not shutdown, it will continue running but you without option to login until new license would be uploaded.

Feel free to post your issue here.

Best regards

Hi Sabrina

Thanks for your quick response.

Yes, My jobs are schedule in TAC. If there  is no impact on my jobs, I am good with that.

Hello,

There are no check on license expiration on scheduler. Jobs will run at scheduled time. However, I would not use the word guaranteed for jobs continuity as if the TAC service is re-started or the TAC server is rebooted, job will not run.

Feel free to post your issue here or create a case on talend support portal if you find some impact on your jobs.

Best regards

Sabrina

Hello

One more query, After update CommandlLine details are not visible. Which were visible earlier. 0683p000009M3zU.jpg

Commandline is running. I used (ps -ef | grep commandline ) command to check.

Hello,

Is there any error message in your TAC log when updated CommandlLine details are not visible from your side?
