Release R2022-09 Talend TOS V8.01

Hello,

I would like a Talend support for resolving a problem with Email component (tPop) because Microsoft stopped all basic connection from Office365 server.

I know that the release R2022-09 (on line since september) has an update of tPop Component with new connection for Microsoft Office365. Is there a way, please, to get the Talend Patch for TOS V8 Version.

thanks

Hello,

The issue was seen due to corrupted dependent jar file.

As we saw that, you have completed the update with the new jar asked in the Studio designer. Is it a correct new jar?

Best regards

Sabrina

Hello,

We tried to override a database driver by customizing the Maven URI:

https://help.talend.com/r/en-US/8.0/studio-user-guide/overriding-external-modules-by-customizing-mvn...

Not sure it is OK with your current job requirement.

With talend open solution, you have to go to explore how to download the newest tPop component from github and replace the old one in local component folder or wait for the next community edition.

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi Sabrina, i don't understand your message because the first think i did is to go on github to get new file for tPop component.

Then i did it !

No idea for the new community edition ?

Hello,

As there is no patch for talend open studio and the latest version of Talend is v8 at the moment. This was released just prior to the Email components basic authentication issue so the Open Studio version does not have the fixes built-in.

It seems that the way of upgrading the tPop libraries that your version of Talend uses is not working well from your side.

Maybe is it OK with you to wait for the next community edition?

We will keep you updated to it when there is a newest talend open studio product published officially.

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi,

Not a good news. Why do we have to wait so long....Many people are blocked with this problem. I thought Talend is Microsoft Partner.. ... Then if Talend made a a patch for Cloud release why not for TOS ?

It's the same Studio isnt it ?

Hello,

For tPOP & Microsoft Basic Authentication Retirement issue mentioned in this thread:

https://community.talend.com/s/feed/0D55b00007LRyrWCAT

We do provide our customers with patch 8.0.1-R2022-08 Studio Monthly and 8.0.1-R2022-09 Studio Monthly update and official guide about setting up the authentication mode for Microsoft Exchange or OAuth:

https://help.talend.com/r/en-US/8.0/pop/registering-microsoft-azure-application-for-pop-imap

So far, Community users would have to manually fix their studio.

Really sorry for the inconvenience!

Best regards

Sabrina

Hello,

I copy the content of modified files on github (like xml file recently modified) into a local file and place it into the repository component folder.

Hello Sabrina/@xdshi,

I followed the link provided (https://github.com/Talend/tdi-studio-se/tree/master/main/plugins/org.talend.designer.components.loca...) and downloaded all components. I tried to update tFileFetch on TOS v8.0.1 and it did not work. However, I succeeded on TOS 7.3.1.20200219.1130. With the following JARs installed for tFileFetch, I managed to run my job, but I still have WARNINGS. Please advise how to get rid of them.
