Hi,
I can't install nor use Talend Open Studio Data Quality on my mac since this error message pops up:
"The TOS_DQ-macosx-cocoa executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library."
Can anybody help?
Thank you! 0683p000009MACn.png

Hi,
Did you download your Talend Open Studio Data Quality installation file from talend official web site:https://www.talend.com/download/talend-open-studio?qt-product_tos_download=1&qt-product_tos_download...?
What's your mac version? Are you using third-party ZIP extractor?
Best regards

Hi Sabrina,
I actually downloaded Talend Open Studio Data Quality installation file from the official website. I'm using the built-in OS zip extractor on macOS Sierra version 10.12.1.

Do you have any idea how I could sove this problem?

Just not use but-in extractor
But  Talend start more and more have trouble with installation
Even after first successful run - download components crash many times before finish 😞

Hi,
Could you please use third-party ZIP extractor to see if it works?

Hi
I am trying to install Data Integrator on Mac OS Sierra and am having the same issue  - also tried unzipping using stuffit expander but same issue.  If I launch via terminal it works fine, but when clicking the app via Launcher it fails with being unable to find the companion shared library.  I am really unsure what else it could be - any advice?
Thanks!

Hi,
Is there any error message  after you chmod the application and re-unzip the product using 7-zip?
Best regards

Hi Sabrina,
Thanks for your response - I have attempted to unzip using the inbuilt archiver, stuffit expander and 'The Unarchiver' - none of these appear to work.  As 7-zip does not have a native MacOS app, is there another you would suggest?
I tried chmod with the extracted version from all of the above, but always get the error regarding failure to locate the companion shared library.
Thanks!

Hi,
You can successfully  execute the application from Package Contents via a Terminal session i.e. /Applications/TOS_DI-macosx-cocoa.app/Contents/MacOS/TOS_DI-macosx-cocoa?
If so, the .zip file is correct without error. It seems something is wrong with the  operating system's decompression tool.
Best regards
Sabrina
