Talend Open Studio license

I am rather new for DI ETL Talend. I just have a very elementary question. Would be greatful if anyone can help out.

For using Talend Open Studio (open source) at commercial level, do we require any license ?

Could anyone please provide a URL to confirm this?

Hello,

Talend Open Studio for Data Integration uses the Apache license. They are allowed run the generated code anywhere.

Dear Sabrina,

Thanks a lot Sabrina for the reply.

Before I and my company starts using TOS for development , my company wants to be 100% sure that :-
1. The product is free to download - This I found in the document link that you provided.
2. TOS can be used for commercial projects and its jar files can be packaged and deployed at the clients' systems - Is there a way we can make sure about this?

Sorry, if my query seems bothersome - but I hope you understand our position - as we need to be completely sure about its licensing before working on the product.

Sabrina,

I appreciate the responses to this inquiry, but we're going around in circles. The EULA makes no mention of the Talend Open Studio products, and therefore does not answer the question. If I'm mistaken in this, please point me to the paragraph and/or exhibit in which the TOS products are mentioned by name.

Barring that, however, the question remains: are the Talend Open Studio products covered by the Apache license free for unlimited commercial applications?

Hello,

“Talend Open Studio” or “TOS” means the open source only version of the Talend integration software tools available for free download and licensed under an open source license. The studio itself use the Apache License 2.0.
