Accessing a Private API within a Qlik Sense Custom Extension

Hi all,

We are in the process of calling a Private API from a custom built extension.

However we are facing some dilemmas with regards to security.

Our Qlik Sense environment is accessed both from the Qlik Sense Portal and is also accessed by other portals which embed dashboards into an iFrame.

Is there a way how we call this Private API directly from the Qlik Sense server instead of via the browser ?

I tried creating a Data Connection, but was not able to use such connection via javascript.

Any insights, suggestions, or assistance on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
