I'm still on version 3.2 in Qlik Sense Server.
Need to compare data and I thought "alternate state" would be a good way to start.
Downloaded Extension: SetObjectState. Installed in a good way but I'm not able to add State, se below. I can't type in State name??
Also installed q2g alternate State (extension). This one I couldnt open.
Need to compare?
Any news about this in new qlik releases?
Regards Lars
It is possible to do comparative analysis without Alternate States.
1) You can use the $1 (and if necessary $2...$9) previous selection states.
at least for simpler comparative analysis this works well.
2) You can use two bookmarks which contain the selections that you want to compare against each other and then you simply do something like this:
Sum( {BM1} Sales) / Sum( {BM2} Sales )
3) You can use dimensions in data islands.
Hi,
did you take a look at the branch or send an email to the developers ?
Hi Lars,
I'm afraid there is a bug in 3.2 APIs that break quite a lot of extensions, this might be why it's not working. You should really consider upgrading.

Hi,
just have a look to https://github.com/q2g/q2g-ext-alternatestates
BUT alternate States are still buggy in Sense Enterprise, they work perfect
in Sense Desktop.
bye
Thanks for your feedback
As a test I have now upgraded My Qlik Sense Desktop to April 2018 release. Still same problem even here.
1.Extension SetOjectState : Problem is I cant add new State name(See my example above)
2. Extension q2g alternate States: Dragin the extension saying. Unguilty extension
Hi,
Have you checked the browser console for errors? Do other extensions work?
Erik Wetterberg
Instead of downloading single extension I downloaded a whole package.
https://m.sense2go.net/extension-package
Now I can open the extension but after a while when I use the extension qlik sense release april 2018(Desktop) crashes.
