Discussion board where members can learn more about Integration, Extensions and API’s for Qlik Sense.
Is there an existing project to use for exporting applications from Qlik Sense to use in desktop for users that don't have access to QMC? An example would be for sales reps that would like to be able to use the application offline. We are currently looking into building a portal for this using the APIs but if something already exists with this functionality, it would be great.
If you are using Qlik Sense Enterprise for SaaS, then you can take advantage of Application Automation to automatically backup your applications. It won't export them to your local desktop drive, but you can use it to export to S3 buckets, Dropbox, GitHub etc. I created a step by step blog post to walk you through doing that.

You will notice a disclaimer in the post which says "be sure to think about Security" Which was intended to setup a follow up video I did explaining that if you are NOT the tenant admin, you will not have permissions to export all applications, and I walk you through how to check permissions before attempting the backups. But if you are the tenant admin then you can simply follow the easy instructions in the blog. Here is the video if you will need it.
Hello,
We have exactly the same needed, did you find a workaround ?
FYI : Waiting for a clean solution, we copy paste each night :
- Apps folder (containing qvf file with appid in filename and without qvf extention)
- export from DB containit a mapping appID / App name
This was in a first time to backup qlik sense apps, but in a second time we tried to use this file to use in qlik sense desktop.
But, there was a but.... in the qvf file pictures are missing and the deleted sheet was persitent in the app, so we need to schedule "clean" export using api...
