Connect Oracle with Qlik Sense

Dear all,

I am new and trying to explore the connection setup between Qlik and Oracle. Just wondering does it need 1 way or 2 way connections if need to open the firewall for port 1521 to connect from Qliksense to Oracle DB?

Seek your expertise advise.

Many Thanks.

When performing a reload, the Qlik Sense Server establishes a connection to the oracle DB to extract the requested data.

So yes, you need a firewall rule that allows the Qlik Sense server to establish a connection to the Oracle DB.

The Oracle DB will not open a connection to the Qlik Sense Server.
