Mashups - Nebular.js vs. Capability API for Qlik Sense SaaS

Has anyone had any experiences with building Mashups based on Qlik Sense SaaS? I am not a web dev by any shadow of the imagination, but curious to expand knowledge in this area. 

I am interested in thoughts re the differences between the Capabilities API and Nebular.js.

I've been able to get the following tutorial (https://qlik.dev/tutorials/build-a-simple-mashup-using-nebulajs) to work against my SaaS tenant, but, struggling with the older Capabilities API. Found the this tutorial (https://support.qlik.com/articles/000108891) from Qlik Help, but, when deploying to my Azure Webapp, I have issues re ReactJS not loading correctly.
