Qlik Sense authentication using OpenLDAP 2.3.43 with STARTTLS and slapd (no Kerberos)...

Greetings!

Has anyone been able to authenticate users with Qlik Sense Enterprise April 2018 and OpenLDAP 2.3.43?

We can sync the customer ids using the Generic LDAP Connector, but we have not been able to get the users authenticated when they try to login to the Qlik Sense Enterprise server.  We are not using Kerberos, just STARTTLS when the client passes the user credentials to the OpenLDAP server (slapd).

Ideas / suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,

--José

Hi Jose,

Were you able to achieve users accessing Qlik Sense Hub using OpenLDAP?

Thank you.

Regards,

Sergio.

Hi Sergio,

Not in the transparent manner we expected.  We had to create a sign-in page to talk to the OpenLDAP server and then use ticket authentication.

Cheers,

Hi José,

Thanks for your reply.

I thought there were a more transparent manner to achieve this. I really can not believe it.

I will try to create the sign-in page.

Thanks again José.

Regards,

Sergio.

Hi Sergio and José,

would you be able to provide an example of said page?

Also, were you able to use this page to authenticate users that use the mobile app for iOS?

Many thanks,

Riccardo

We had the exact same problem a couple of weeks ago.

Therefore, we have implemented a configurable service, which provides a custom authentication form.  It is now available on GitHub: https://github.com/InformDataLab/QlikLdapLogin
