REST API Windows NTLM Help

Looking to create an API connection to load data.

My question is, using this method will i need to hard code the Service account details into the connection. Is there any authentication that Qlik offers that can bypass hard coding in credentials.

Have you found a solution to this?

I'm currently trying to work around this by building the API connection into an extension, and using a form to grab user credentials.
