Responsive display of filter pane

Hi,

I am working on a Mashup that includes a filter pane.Somehow the display of the filter changes when resizing the window.
As I want the Mashup to be adaptive to allow usage on IPads this bothers me a little.

I figured that the filter style is influenced by the css class qv-layout-...
With qv-layout-small the filter looks just like I want it to. But when I open the website in IPad size, this changes to qv-layout-medium and the contents of the filter categories are displayed as well.

Is there a way to avoid this?
