Sort Order in Sankey Chart ( Visualization Bundle)

Hello,

I'm experiencing strange sort issues with the Sankey chart in the Visualization bundle. A similar question was asked before but the object appears to have been upgraded since then, and that answer is no longer relevant (sorting used to be disallowed; now it is allowed but not working as expected).

Here's the issue. I want both sides of this chart to sort navy-blue-orange-red-black (if you squint you may see other small categories that are not relevant to the question). I apply the same sort logic to both dimensions (only changing the referenced field), but the right side does not sort properly. I can change which side sorts correctly by swapping the sort priority, but I cannot get both sides to sort correctly simultaneously.

Has anyone experienced this issue and come up with a solution?
