Variable Extension - validation question

Hi - I am using the 'Variable Input' extension by Erik Wetterberg for an application I am creating.

I am allowing users to change a variable value using an 'input box'.

Is there a way to validate the input box ? That is - if a value is entered over a certain number, the user gets a messages OR the variable changes to a max value of some type.

Thoughts ?? Jerry

i dotn think so. only way maybe to convert it into a slider which has a max value
