Hi all,
Follow-up to my earlier thread: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Integration-Extension-APIs/Unknown-chart-errors-for-qlik-date-picker-q...
Since the new analytics/sheet preview mode (https://qlik.dev/changelog/188-new-analytics-sheet/ ), our embedded sheet rendered Dashboard bundle controls (qlik-variable-input, qlik-date-picker) correctly. We embed with the qlik-embed React package (embed-react 2.5.4), ui="analytics/sheet" with the preview flag.
Problem: Variable input controls placed inside the new Tabbed container now show "Unknown chart: qlik-variable-input". Nothing changed in our code or in the app.
• A qlik-variable-input placed directly on the sheet still renders.
• The same object inside the Tabbed container shows "Unknown chart: qlik-variable-input".
• classic/app renders it correctly, but it is not an option for us because it brings the full Sense UI (assets panel, sheet list, toolbar).
Runtime versions served by our tenant: analytics-sheet 0.28.0, analytics-chart 2.6.0, sn-tabbed-container 2.12.0, sense-client 8.784.0.
What we found: in analytics-chart 2.6.0 the top-level chart loader handles non-sn- types through the sense-client extensions loader. The Tabbed container renders its children through a nested stardust embed instead, and its load function (StardustConfigModel) only resolves types starting with "sn-" and returns "Unknown chart: <name>" for everything else.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Add a Tabbed container to a sheet and put a Variable input (Dashboard bundle) inside one of its tabs.
2) Embed the sheet with qlik-embed, ui="analytics/sheet" and the preview flag.
3) Open the tab with the Variable input.
Expected: the Variable input renders, as it does in the Sense client and when placed directly on the sheet.
Actual: "Unknown chart: qlik-variable-input".
Workaround for now: we are moving the variable inputs out of the container.
Questions:
1) Is this a known regression, and is a fix planned?
2) Until then, is there a supported way to render Dashboard bundle controls inside a Tabbed container in analytics/sheet?
Thanks!
We're taking a look!
Hi @VladGordeyko ,
Thank you for reporting this. We have identified the issue and are working to deliver a fix. To answer your questions:
1. Now it is a known regression. I hope we can deliver the fix later today or tomorrow
2. Sadly I don't think there is a workaround for this.
@niekvanstaveren @Dave_Channon Thanks guys for quick answer! Please let me know if any updates!!!
