This article deals with a specific license related issue that requires additional investigation by Qlik Support.

For the most common root causes of this message, see: You cannot access Qlik Sense because you have no access pass and follow these instructions first.

Environment:

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows
Licensed with a Signed License Key (SLK)

Symptoms:

The Signed License Key was applied successfully, but after 5 days of usage, the Qlik Sense Hub reports You cannot access Qlik Sense because you have no access pass for all users.

The license log shows:

{"audience":"","caller":"middleware.go:93","level":"info","license":"","logTraceId":"":"http request","name":"V1LicensesAllotmentsPrioritizedPost","req.method":"POST","req.url":"/v1/licenses/allotments/prioritized?xrfkey=ichbineinberlinR","res.statusCode":"403","subType":"","tenant":"","timestamp":"2021-04-23T04:29:38.9060746Z","userAgent":""}

{"caller":"handler.go:53","errorMessage":"Too much time has passed since the last license update","errorType":"LICENSES-OutdatedLicense","level":"info","logTraceId":"","statusCode":403,"timestamp":"2021-04-23T04:29:38.9247703Z"}

Resolution

Temporarily Workaround:

Update or remove a letter at the end of SLK and it will reconnect again.

To further troubleshoot this kind of issue we will be needing this information:

  1. Enable logging in License Service: How to Enable Debug Logging in License Service
  2. Collect "license-related metadata", "licenses_licenses" and "licenses_tenants" from the Qlik Sense repository database.

    To do so:
    1. Download pgAdmin https://www.pgadmin.org/download/
    2. Connect/configure pgAdmin: How To Connect To And Modify The PostgreSQL Database Used For Qlik Sense Repository
    3. Exported to a CSV file from pgAdmin

      "licenses_sync_metadata",
      "licenses_licenses" and
      "licenses_tenants"

Provide all this information to Qlik Support for us to investigate further in the License backend side.
