Auto assign to Basic user in QLik Cloud Capacity Based

Hi,

Would like to ask if how to automatically assign the new users as basic users.

the tenant of our client is using Google SAML as IDP and they don't want to manually assign every time there is a new user logged in.

Thank you.

It should be automatic.

As @Leigh_Kennedy stated it is automatic in Capacity-based subscriptions.

But further to that point, it is based on the roles give to the user.

Tenant administrators manage user access rights by assigning roles. Based on these access rights, the user is automatically assigned the correct user entitlement.

For more, visit Automatic assignment of user entitlements (capacity based subscriptions).

However if you are actually using User based subscriptions:

There are two toggles for dynamic entitlement assignment: Enable dynamic assignment of professional users and Enable dynamic assignment of analyzer users.

To see the complete steps, visit: Enabling automatic assignment of entitlements (user based subscriptions).

Kind regards...

A basic user is a user who only has assigned the role of has restricted view (ref). This means that for these users, either either directly (assigned by name) or indirectly (assigned by group membership when using a third-party IDP, or assigned to the "everyone group") need to exclusively be assigned the role of has restricted view on a managed space. If they have any other assignment, they will be "promoted" to a full user. Hint: use the Access Evaluator to audit access.
