Can any Postgres 12.5 sub prefix (12.x)be used?

So we have Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2021 and want to use a standalone postgres db but from Download PostgreSQL (enterprisedb.com) only 12.11 is possible.

Is 12.11 supported for the May 2021 version (I don't think it is)

If not where can I download 12.5 from?

Thanks

  Richard

Hi @RichardC016,

All versions of PostgresSQL 12.X are supported. See the System Requirements for version May 2021 for Repository Database.

By the way, a Google search of "postgres database 12.5 download" returned https://www.postgresql.org/ftp/source/v12.5/

Hello @RichardC016 ,

If installing Qlik Sense client-managed from scratch it will do with PostgreSQL 12, but if you already have it installed, indeed the article you found will help you as per the new tool. Raise a case with us an we will be glad to share the tool that should be available later this year.

Cheers,

Albert

Hi Albert...  Unfortunately for us QS has been installed on the D:\ drive and the update tool currently only works for C:\ drive installs.

As any further updates to that tool may take a while I'm now looking at installing pg 12.11 and setting that up manually but to me it's unclear as to whether or not pg 12.11 is supported and in fact only 12.5 is.

I don't want our environment not to be supported by Qlik so perhaps you could confirm if 12.11 is ok to use?

Cheers

  Richard

Hello @RichardC016 ,

I am checking internally, as of now I would say PostgreSQL 12.5 is that one been tested and hence the one supported, but allow us some time and I will be back to you.

Cheers,

Albert
