Cannot create ODBC Connection to Sybase if password has special characters

Hi

we have built a new qlikview servers with latest available patch November 201 SR4. We have few dashboards which connect to sybase ASE database which were working fine in Qlikview 11.

In the new version, Qlikview 12 is not able to reload or connect to sybase ASE database if the password has special characters in it.

If the password does not have any special characters, i am able to create ODBC connection.

Can anybody please provide me a workaround/fix for this. I am working with Qlik support on this already and they almost said its a bug

Have you found a resolution to this issue?  I'm running into the same thing connecting to an excel sheet using ODBC...

I used QlikODBCConnector to resolve this issue
