Cannot upgrade from September 2018 Technical Preview to September 2018

I am trying to upgrade my Qlik Sense server from the September 2018 Technical Preview to the regular September 2018 release.

When launching the installer, I am getting the following error message:

Qlik Sense setup - Environment error

Unsupported upgrade. This version does not support upgrades from the version currently installed on the machine. Please uninstall the existing version and try again.

------------------------------

Obviously I would prefer NOT to uninstall and reinstall because of the workload and risks associated with this. Seems like an uncertain thing to do, I am afraid it might cause problems.

Please advise if there is any way to get around this error.
