Installing external PostGreSql on different port

Hi All,

Currently we have Nov 2020 Windows Enterprise installed.

As we need PostGreSql 12x for Windows Enterprise May 2021 release. And this PostGreSql upgrade from 9.6 to 12x doesn't happen as a part of Qlik Sense upgrade. Can we install separate PostGreSql instance on some port other than  4432.

And then after installation we change database port or connection details to externally installed PostGreSql on same machine running on different port.

Also the old backup taken can be restored to ew external database.

Do you mean to install version 12 and also keep 9.6 installed on the same server?

You can change the port, either during the installation or in the connection string after.
