Qlik Sense EOW - Error 1053 when starting the Repository Service on central node

Hello,

We have an issue with Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows (Qlik Sense November 2021 Patch 3) :
Our Qlik Sense architecture is based on 4 nodes. After a restart of the central node, the Repository Service failed to start with the following error => error 1053 : The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

The last entries in the repository log files (C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Repository) are from before the server was restarted.

I have tried the following solutions, but the issue still persists :
- Increasing the timeout value in the registry, as described in the post https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/Qlik-Sense-quot-Error-1053-The-service-did-n...
- Restarting the central node several times
- Using QlikSenseUtil.exe but it failed with a crash dump in the folder C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\CrashDumps.

The services work normally on the 3 other nodes. We use the same domain account to start the Qlik Sense services on the 4 nodes.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Laurent

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

It was actually a problem with Windows (other software stopped working either). We reinstalled a backup of the C drive which fixed the problem (the Qlik Sense Shared Folder is on the D drive).

Hi,

Please can you share Qlik Sense logs and/or Windows Event logs ?

Can you check the points below:

  • Your service account is Local Administrator of the server ?
  • The service account can write/read the Qlik Share folder ?
  • The repository database password are correct (for qliksenserepository and postgre user)

If everything above is ok, can you try to recreate TLS Certificate ?

Kind regards
