Qlik Sense IDp Initiated SSO

I have come across the below statement from Qlik Sense help in "SAML Authentication" from June 2017 version

1)   "For the IdP initiated SSO to work the assertions must be signed."

So does this mean that Idp initiated SSO is supported in Qlik sense ?

The very next topic in help menu "Configuring SAML Authentication" is contradicting the above

2) "The identity provider initiated SSO, where the user logs in directly to the identity provider, is not supported in Qlik Sense."

Can experts please advise which of the above statement is true
