Qlik Sense license difference between versions

Hi all.

I need to know the last version of Qlik Sense in which the license can be inserted using serial + control number, following the first method showed here https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/How-To-Apply-A-License-to-Qlik-Sense-Server/ta-p/1713137

From some version onwards, only the SLK method can be used (there is no option "switch license model" on QMC anymore) but I can't find in the documentation the exact version.

Someone knows?

Hello,
I am on May2021 using LEF. I don't think the restrictions you are mentioning exist. Here is a document that goes over licensing pretty thoroughly, and I do not see any restrictions on LEF:

I included a screenshot to show what my license page looks like. If I wanted to switch to Signed Licenses, I have to push that button.

did you upgrade to may 2021 from an older release?

Or installed as a new installation?

Because I have a new installation with february 2020 and I have only SLK option (see attach).

Hello NMartini,
I installed a test Feb 2020 server for you and I am able to get a prompt to switch license model back to Control and Serial Number Style (see screenshot). 

It seems you can't switch back once you picked the other license model though. You might need to uninstall, and reinstall, and then choose the proper license from the beginning.
