We have the Qlik Publisher licence and therefore distribute all of our qvw’s via the publisher service. We have a new server that QlikView sits on now and the QDS service that is responsible for the distribution of qvw’s has become very temperamental. Tasks randomly fail noted with the red cross against the task in the QMC (yet oddly they don’t, the data within the qvw’s is still refreshed and the qvw is still published as it should be). This will randomly happen over a few weeks until eventually the QDS service will fail to connect all together leaving us with no option other that to reboot the server which resolves the issue. Then its back to square one and tasks will begin to randomly “pretend” to fail again over the next couple of weeks until the QDS service falls over again……. I cant glean any sensible information off the log file when the task fails. I’ve tried changing the URL for the QDS service to the actual IP address (spotted this fix on the community) but unfortunately that hasn’t resolved the issue. This is a priority issue as you can imagine. It's all a bit odd if I’m honest as our old Qlik server was bullet proof!
