Search all Qlik Sense load scripts

I am looking for a way to search through all load scripts of all our Qlik Sense apps for e.g. a field, table name, connection string, etc.. Use case is cleanup of old source tables and user files references, removing or changing of fields in tables etc. and making sure nothing breaks downstream.

I found this creative solution: Re: Search data load scripts in all apps for speci... - Qlik Community - 1912697 which basically looks through the reload logs.

I'm also aware of the possibility to use API, as explained eg. here: Ithy - Downloading Qlik Data Load Scripts as QVS Files.

I'm wondering however if Qlik doesn't provide an easier or more out-of-the-box tool? This does seem like a very common and essential use case?

Hello there Bart,

I had the same task and I have managed to handle it with Butler Spyglass.

URL: GitHub - ptarmiganlabs/butler-spyglass: Utility for extracting data lineage and load scripts for all...

You need to follow certain configuration steps but it works fine.

PS: Sample output.

No, it's on premises. Is there a native functionality for this in Qlik Cloud?
