Setting Up Azure AD using SAML on Qlik Cloud

Hello All,

I've been going through this Configuring Microsoft Entra ID as a SAML identity provider | Qlik Cloud Help documentation for setting up Azure AD as IdP on our qlik cloud tenant.

Can anyone clarify is it mandatory to create group claims as suggested in the documentation?

My client only requires Azure AD for authentication and doesn't want groups.

Can I revert back to old authentication method i.e Qlik Account login in case of failures without losing previous users access?

Hello,

Azure AD's primary role in this scenario is to authenticate users. When a user logs in via Azure AD, Qlik Sense receives a user ID (and typically a "friendly" name like an email address or UPN) from the SAML or OIDC assertion.
