Upgrade Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows from Nov 2020 to May 2021

Hi All,

We have Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows Nov2020 version  running & we wish to upgrade it to May 2021 version.

We have single node installation.

We have few questions as below

1. As May 2021 version requires PostGreSql 12x, So will this latest PostGreSQl version will be installed/upgraded as a part of Qlik Sense upgrade?

2. Similar query for .net version 4.8 above, Will t upgraded during Sense upgradation ? 

3.  Can we take backup and then install postGreSql manually to 12x and restore backup and point to this new postGreSQl?  Is it possible if yes, Please point me to correct resources.

4. I don't have control number just have some LEF text will it be sufficient after upgrade ?

Aniket,

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. No. PostGreSql 12x will only be installed during a fresh installation of Qlik Sense. When upgrading you will need to manually upgrade PostgreSQL prior to installation.

2. .Net version 4.8 and above will not be upgraded during the Sense upgrade. This will need to be manually upgrade prior to the installation of Qlik Sense May 2021.

4. You do not need your control number to upgrade your existing QS installation.
