Qlik Sense Mobile app failed to connect to server

Hi all, Today I wanted to try out the Qlik Sense Mobile app. I therefore configured the client authentication link in the proxy server of our Qlink Sense Enterprise installation. After downloading the Qlik Sense Mobile app in de Apple store, installing it on my iPhone and adding the server to the list I tried to actually login, but received the notification that the app had failed to connect to the server. The authentication link works just fine when I login via Qlik Sense Desktop while using the same network. Disconnecting from Wifi and using 4G doens't solve the problem. Any suggestions how I can solve this? Thanks in advance for your assistence! Bram

Hi Bram,

how is the Client Authentication Link configured? Are you using HTTP or HTTPS?

Hi Bram,

if you haven't installed and configured in the Proxy a recognized certificate (which is NOT the default self-signed certificate that ships with a default installation) then change the link to work in HTTP.

Hi Riccardo, Do you mean if I filled in the SSL browser certificate thumbprint in the Proxy settings with a recognized certicate? I did. Kind regards, Bram

Hi Riccardo,

I'm using http but I'm also facing a similar problem. On the mobile app, instead of bring up the authentication window, it prompts that I cannot access the selected server because I do not have an access pass.

How do I get pass this?

Regards,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

are you using a custom port for HTTP?

I haven't checked on September 2018, but until June 2018 there was a bug with custom ports that let you login but then gives an error (at this time I can't remember if it is related to access pass or to something else, sorry)...

Hi Riccardo,

I'm on April 2018 version. But I believe the ports we use are the standard ones:

Hi Jamie,

yes, those are the default ports.

Which user are you using? One that is shared with other people and/or is the service user used by Qlik Sense?

Hi Riccardo,

The client authentication link was generated using the service user account.

As for the mobile app, I have not even managed to get to the login screen to input user at all. it immediately prompts that I cannot access the selected server because I do not have an access pass when I selected the server to connect to.

Regards,

Jamie
