Permissions and visibility of media library content

Hi,

I have some images used as background in some public sheets, but once publishing the app users with access to the app cannot view the image. Is there any permission I should give to the users that I´m missing? As to the following URL, all users with access to the app can view media library content that is used in public sheets-

Hi @tsionalush .

Yes, you will need to allow users READ access to the Content Library.

  • go to QMC, then Content Library section
  • Double-click on the Content Library that has the background images
  • Click on the Security Rules, under Associated Items (see image below)

  • Then Create associated rule. This will prompt the wizard to create the rule specifically for the content Library
  • You would activate the Advanced section, and replate the text with the word true. Hit Apply.

  • This will create a rule allowing all users from accessing the content library. Since there are only background images, there's no issue in such open rule. For other resources with sensitive information, you would write a rule narrowed down to the specific user community.

This will resolve the access issue your users are seeing.

If his helps you, please give it a like and mark the answer as the solution.

Thanks!
