Qlik Cloud Managed Space : Has Restricted View vs Can View

Hello,

 

What are the difference between the two space roles.

  1. When the user has been granted the professional Licence
    1. Has restricted view : what kind of features available (Export, sharing note, subscribe to a sheet..??)
    2. Can view : what kind of features available (Export, sharing note, subscribe to a sheet..??)

 

  1. When the user has been granted analyzer licence
    1. Has restricted view : what kind of features available (Export, sharing note, subscribe to a sheet..??)
    2. Can view : what kind of features available (Export, sharing note, subscribe to a sheet..??)

Hello @Data_BI_FR 

The  entitlements you mentioned apply to User-based subscriptions (professional and analyzer) rather then Capacity-based subscriptions (Full and Basic users). These are key differences that you need to be aware of.

 

You may manage the roles as needed or create customer roles.

Please check these help videos and pages in the links above to better understand permissions management.

 

There are also 'Managed Space' and 'Shared Space' permission considerations as well for both License Models.

These links show the permissions detail that you appear to be are looking for.

 

Managed Space 

 

Managing permissions in shared spaces

 

For example:

Exporting an app is a permission that can be applied only in a shared space. This is not possible in a managed space.

 

Managed spaces will have more limitations as it is a governed space where analytics are performed. Limitations will appear here that do not appear in 'shared spaces' where apps are developed.

 

You will need to understand the differences between managed spaces and shared spaces functions and apply permissions (in the links above) as needed.

 

But if you keep in mind the main difference between share space (development) and managed spaces (governed), applying permissions for specific outcomes will make more sense.
