Best way to catch error in QS

Hi everyone,

I'm writing here because I'm unable to post on Qlik Sense Product forum.

I was trying to set ErrorMode = 2 to keep executing the script in case of errors but I've seen here https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/June2020/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Scripting/ErrorVariables... the function as been archived.

As a matter of fact if I try using it the whole script breaks.

I'm working in SaaS.

How can I achieve the same thing?

Thanks in advance

Hi @veronica1,

the article you are referring to is linked to an older version of Qlik Sense (on prem), that's why it is archived.

The correct link for the cloud version is as follows:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Scripting/ErrorVariables...

Regarding the functionality, I just tested in in Qlik Sense SaaS and it seems to be working fine.

I would recommend that you could check the app's data model or on any of the app sheets (to vizualize data after the script runs), whether your script did continue past the error statement or whether it stopped there.

Kind regards,

Tomas

Thanks so much! When I clicked "latest version" it showed the homepage so I thought the function was removed.

I tested it today on SaaS and I can confirmed it works, I think yesterday there was some problems on the server because I was receiving strange errors.
