Connecting Qlik Sense from NPrinting

Good Morning, Comunity!

I've been trying to make a connection to a Qlik Sense 3.2.0  application from NPrinting 17.3.1.0 to generate a report, but I have not gotten it so far. In NPrinting control center I get the following error, attached image for further reference, while in the log the error in context is as follows:

ERROR IN SenseNavigator: Error on remote server: (403) Forbidden.

P.S. I have also installed the certificates and it does not work.

Could someone please help me with this problem? Thank you in advance. regards

Hi there Cynthia,

a couple of questions to understand the situation: does the user that runs the Qlik NPrinting Engine service have a Qlik Sense token?

Does the application that you're trying to connect have Section Access?

Hi Riccardo, thanks for answering.

Yes, my user has a token assigned and I am working in local way in a virtual machine.

Specifically NPrinting is allocated in the local disk, either QlikSense Desktop, however the Sense QMC  is allocated into the virtual machine, even when I've  validated the broadcast back and forth  is well, the error message is appearing constantly.

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that the QS certificates are installed correctly?

Does the nprinting service account in Qlik Sense have Root Admin?

Have you confirmed that all of the connection settings are correct?

Does your pc or the virtual machine have firewall activated?

To "talk" correctly, in case the firewall is on, on both sides you need to create some rules to allow communication. Take a look here for the complete list: Requirements to connect to Qlik Sense ‒ Qlik NPrinting

Also, could you try to enable the DEBUG logs? Troubleshooting ‒ Qlik NPrinting

Hi Mark!

About your questions, the answer is yes for all of them, nonetheless it still doesn´t work.

It's easier if you use the same service account to run both QlikSense services and NPrinting services. Since they are on different machines this service account will need to be a domain account. If you want to run both services with different windows accounts, log into the sense server with the NP service account and export the certificates again. Then import into NPrinting server and see if you are able to establish the connection.

Also make sure there are no duplicate certificates on NPrinting server.
