Data Selectively not Working

When I pull a field into a raw data table, it works. When I pull that same field into a KPI, it doesn't work.

The raw data table is a very simple sum(amount) and pulls it into each row but when I try to roll it up (same formula of sum(amount)) it shows 0. The same thing is happening when I show a transaction_count. In the raw data table it will show 1 for each transaction but when I try to sum(transaction_count) into a KPI it shows 0. I am pulling this data in from Databricks and when I pull raw data from there, everything is fine.

I know these KPIs and tables work because I used the exact same app on a bit of a smaller scale. We added a lot more data to the application and now all the sudden it isn't working. Does this sound like a databricks and data problem or Qlik?

Somehow, someway, in the data being pulled in there were leading and trailing spaces so I used a trim function in the load editor to take them out, and it's working.

Hi, that's not normal behaviour, if you are using a sum in a KPI and it's not working, I only can think that the numbers are a string instead of number or that the sum of all of them really returns zero.

I will need to take a look, can you upload a sample with some dummy or ofuscated data that demostrates the issue?
