Excluding Selected results from filter results

I have a filter Letters:  B, C, D
I have another column Animals: Duck, Cat, Bird

I want a way so that when I press B, Animals not associated with B to appear --> Duck and Cat.

is there a way?

is there a way to use {1-$} in this case?

Do you think the following would work?

1. Select the filter letters you want to exclude (group in the pictures below).

2. Choose the option for "Select alternative" to select all other filter letters.

This way, by choosing "b" in "group" and then selecting the alternatives (a and d), my final table shows all records not associated with "b" in "group"
