Extension QlikSense version

Hello,

I have a technical question regarding the developement of extension.

What makes an extension works on a version of qliksense for exemple June 2020 and dosent work on November 2017.

is it related to the libraries used, exemple (D3, angular ..) ? how can we check wich library match our actual version of QS ?
