Hi all,
I currently have a table that I want to filter. I could make a filter pane but the filter pane selection would apply to the table and everything else in the sheet which I don't want. Is it possible to filter only the data in the table?
I learnt to use set analysis a bit which allows me to exclude tables from selections, but this isn't optimal as I want to apply filters to them as well.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Lingzhou,
You can use Alternate States in Qliksense and this can help you to achieve what you are looking for.
You can put Filter and Table into one state.
Alternate states in Qliksense can be achieved using extension.

Check this out: Using Alternate State in QLikSense (without Extensions)
Type | Sub type | Data |

A | 1 | 42 |
A | 1 | 38 |
A | 1 | 23 |
A | 1 | 82 |
A | 2 | 39 |
A | 2 | 69 |
A | 2 | 57 |
A | 2 | 22 |
A | 2 | 58 |
B | 3 | 67 |
B | 3 | 93 |
B | 3 | 3 |
B | 3 | 92 |
B | 3 | 11 |
B | 4 | 90 |
B | 4 | 59 |
B | 4 | 82 |
B | 4 | 89 |
B | 4 | 85 |
Above I've added some dummy data to clarify the format of my data.
What I want to display in Qlik Sense based on this data are two tables.
Table one would have all the data with Type = A and be filterable for Sub type 1 or 2.
Table two would have all the data with Type = B and be filterable for Sub type 3 or 4.
I tried using that extension but it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe I'm using it wrong but is there an example of how to use it?
