How to Download an Excel sheet from Microsoft Teams without Office365SharePoint connector

Hi Techies,

I need to download an excel sheet which is presented at Microsoft Teams Files location. There is an option which gives two paths

  1. Microsoft Teams

https://teams.microsoft.com/l/file/A13BD6C7?tenantId=-81a1-9e8ae3459641&fileType=xlsx&objectUrl=http...

2. Sharepoint

https://apps.***.com/sites/****/_layouts/15/WopiFrame2.aspx?sourcedoc={70-0a120829ecae}&action=edit

One top right corner, there are three dots, when I click on it, it gives me two options of link which I stated above. Can you please guide me which connector works for this scenario. I have Nov 2017 Web connector too.

Thanks,

Rohit

Hi Rohit,
You can open the SharePoint and in IE and then open the site in windows location, you can map SP opened in Windows explorer as a drive location on windows server. Once its mapped you can try accessing the same location from Qlik Sense script if you can able to access the new drive and access the files stored. This is using Standard mode.

If you go with legacy mode I am sure you will be able to achieve aforementioned steps in qlik sense with required access to your user and generic user as well, which will be used to reload the apps on server

Hey Punit,

Thanks for your input. Your post looks promising. Here are few steps I did but couldn't achieve final target:

1.  I went to Internet Explorer, and went to to the Office 365 sign-in page. We have our company login page which has SSO implemented so if I login there I will land to sharepoint. I noted the address from URL bar:

2. On second step it asked me, Enter name and password, tick the Keep me signed in check box, then click Sign in. I entered my credentials but I haven't got the option Keep me signed in, yes it asked me for saving password but it is not asking me for Keep me signed in .

I think this is the root cause.

3. I added the address https://apps.*****.com to trusted sites. we don't have share point string in host name.

4. When I try to map share point with network drive it gives me error:

I read this article to trouble shoot https://serverfault.com/questions/764668/i-cant-map-a-network-drive-to-sharepoint#:~:text=Access%20D...

It says  make Keep me signed in. Problem is I am not getting this option.

Do you thin this is the root cause or something else I am missing:

Thanks,

Rohit
