How to calculate more months

Hi.

I want to create a measure or a dimension on a table,where one of the columns should be "starting date + 6 months"

I already tried the following formula, but no success.

=date(day([Starting Date])&(month([Starting Date])+6)&year([Starting Date]))

also, a want to insert a condition which says: this should only happen when Product Area is "PP".

Any ideas?
