How to customize the tooltip in the Map chart?

Hello,

I'm using a simple KML file to associate the coordinates to the states of Brazil and plotting a value for each state. A simple polygon area case.

But my tooltip for each state is showing the coordinates, I would like to customize it to show the name of the state.

Is it possible? I'm quite new at Qlik so I am not sure what can I customize.

Below the image of the tooltip I wish to change..

Thanks

Hi Matheus,

Do you have your State Name in your data model? If yes, just use the StateName for the Dimension in Data section, and the Polygon field for the Location field in Location section.

For example, i'm using Province and GEOProvince (QlikSense June 2018)

Hi

i run into the same issue as described, but when i change the Location field information, my map changes to totally different GEO locations.

I get some other regions in the USA instead of Europe...

i am running November 2018 Version

Hi,

Have you found a way to customize tooltips ?

I have similar issue based on tooltips : when I'm in small screen, I can't see some too long values...

Hi,

i got the issue solved like described above.

use the Data Section for tooltip info and Location Section for GEO Data.

Hi @grisldopf ,

Whenever you use a geo field to assign areas/points on a map, you can tell QlikSense to search those in your area of interest. Eg. If all your Zips/Geo Coordinates are for USA, you can change the 'Scope for locations' to 'Custom' and then in the Country input you can write the text i.e. 'US'. I have attached a screenshot for reference.
