How to write object based section access in qliksense?

Hello Everyone,

Iam new to Qliksense.

I want to give access to group of people and mobility(ACCESS to MOBILE)  in qliksense but there are not in the same Domain,

i need object based section access or any other solution based on the scenario.

Example:

In the sheet i have 2 filters like  ,COMPANY, DEPARTMENT.

i want to give access to 10 people, in that 3 of them(U1,U2,U3 ) have to give all the Access.

user U4 should have Company:   KKINR,

                                 DEPARTMENT:  002s, 103, 104, 201, 401

user U5 should have Company:   KKINR,KKUSD,KKAUD

                                 DEPARTMENT:  105, 301, 302

user U6 should have Company:   1012,1001,002,1003,1004,1005,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006

                                 DEPARTMENT:  1012,1001,002,1003,1004,1005,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006, 3001,3002,..

user U7should have Company:   KKINR,

                                 DEPARTMENT:  501, 502

user U8 should have Company:   KKINR,

                                 DEPARTMENT:  101, 101-aga,  102, 601

user U9 should have Company:   KKUSD,

                                 DEPARTMENT:  3006S,3007S,3008S,3009S,3010S,3011S

user U10 should have Company:   KKAUD,

this is the scenario which i have, how can i achieve this , through Section Access.

please give me suggestion as soon as possible.

Hi

Object based section access is not supported .

The whole idea of section access both in QlikSense and QlikView is based on row/column reduction based on user credentials accross whole application.

In QlikView it was also possible to conditionally hide and show objects (charts, sheets, listboxes etc) which could be maintained also through section access in Qlik Sense this does not make sense as user should be able to build their own visualisation anyway so the main concern is to give them right data.

As QlikSense token is not limited to particular app why dont you prepare 2 applications if you want to have different users accessing different objects.

I am not sure whether i have understood your question properly as your scenario looked like regular section access solution which reduces no of records for each user to only approved values.

All what you need is UserId and combinations of fields which user will be able to see. Note that in QlikSense there is no NTNAME in section access insted you have to use USERID

i am sure we can apply object level section access also....as like sheet level access in qlikview.

You can do it (however it is defined on security rules not in section access) on sheet level, that i can agree on. Which means you can sort of hide/show sheet for different users which i still do not see point doing and complicating as you could have simply 2 different apps

If you just talking about objects like charts  - then it is not possible, Qlik Sense is not supporting this.
