Install qliksense with Amazon RDS

Hi All,

Can i install QlikSense with AWS RDS as my database ?

Running on Windows 2012R2.

Sure - but which one are you using?

Amazon RDS provides you six familiar database engines to choose from, including Amazon Aurora, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB

With Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB you do have ODBC connectors that support these. Amazon Aurora is MySQL compatible and should work with the ODBC connectors for MySQL.

I am familiar with RDS plarforms, let me ask it differently.. in which installation step i can choose external DB instead of the localy MySQL ?

Yes, i have installed QlikSense and didn't saw any step which i can select different DB configuration.

please describe how to actually config this kind of setup if you can

In your Load Script Editor you can create a CONNECTION. The connection could be an ODBC driver for any of the databases that RDS supports.

Hi Erez,

There is no need of Data Connection at the time of installation.

data connection is only needed when you are creating some application.
