Is dynamic data display by user possible?

As a newbie to Qlik Sense, I do not know what is and what is not possible, yet.

An ask we received from our users is to display information based on the user. 

Meaning, there is business area that has requested information in Qlik. That's done.

Right now,  thdata related to them by selected their name from a drop-down list. They don't want to select their name. They want Qlik to know it is them and automatically display the data related to their name.

Is that possible? If so, how is that implemented?

If the users only need to see THEIR data, you could use Section Access

So with this they could all have the same "page" (I do not know what it is called) in an app,  but only see it filtered based on their access?

Yes.  They would use the same application, but be limited to only their data.  If you are going to configure Section Access, always keep a backup of the application (without Section Access) while you test Section Access.
