ODBC connection not visible in Qliksense Desktop

Below page talks about getting started with loading scripts using a tutorial pdf.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/September2017/Content/Tutorials/Tutorials-scripting-beginners.htm

We have created the ODBC system DSN and connected to the db file provided.

When we open qliksense desktop, create connection, select ODBC, we do not see the same here ?

Please advise what could be wrong.

Hi All,

(Qlik Sense Desktop, February 2018 Patch 1 qliksensedesktop 12.5.3 running on Windows 7)

The same happens to me: Whatever ODBC I'm setting up, be it 32bit or 64bit, User DSN or System DSN, Qlik Sense does not show any of them, while other ODBC clients do show them.

However, ODBC connections worked fine until mid December 2018.

Is it possible that Qlik Sense switches off ODBC connections or that there could be a hiccup because of Windows 7 Security patches?

Please help!

Kind Regards,

Michael Kortmann

The problem is the antivirus.

One must disable real time protection in order to have ODBC and OLEDB providers list in qlik sense
