QSR Backup Scope ?

Hi Techies,

I have a Qlik site one year old and I have implemented many fixes and config file updates 

1. C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Engine\Settings.ini

2. C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Repository\PostgreSQL\9.6\pg_hba.conf

many more.

Lets say my system get crashed, so if I restore the QSR backup, do settings will come as it is before crash ?

My Question is QSR backup covers meta data till what level ?

Hi Rohit, restoring a backup of the database does not restore those setting.  Upgrades will also remove those changes. It is always a good idea to make a backup of all changes and document all changes.

Hi Alan,
I hope you are doing good!
I am agreed with you but not completely(I could be wrong). I have implemented two solutions:
1. https://qliksupport.force.com/articles/000019323(ProgramData folder)
2. https://qliksupport.force.com/articles/000055708 (ProgramFiles folder)
ProgramData folder solution remain on its place but Programfile solution vanished.

and one more thing https://support.qlik.com/articles/000051850 also as it is after upgrade, cause of its for machine.config file part of .net subset

May be in new version https://qliksupport.force.com/articles/000019323 this is already added but yes I will check all my implemented solution after upgrade.
