I can't open Qlik sense on my desktop

This can happens when the QlikSense Desktop is trying to do things before other things have fully initialised.

Often if you simply leave the error up, count to 5 and press <F5> to refresh all is ok as all will have fully initialised.

I had the same issue and F5 and other suggestions in the forum (repair installation, check LAN settings and bypass proxy for local addresses) did not work.

It looks as if some settings on the corporate network blocked this address.

The solution that worked for me: launch Qlik Sense desktop while not on the corporate network, then connect while the desktop is open.
